A new name – and a 3:1 match opportunity!

We're excited to introduce you to the Washington Housing Alliance!

We are updating our name, logo, and website to make it easier for advocates to tell the story of our work and engage in our advocacy.

A New Name, the Same Mission

What's not changing is our mission. We remain focused on solving the affordability crisis for the people who need it most.

Our new name reflects our statewide reach, our commitment to working collaboratively, and our proven track record of changing policy to create safe and affordable homes for everyone in Washington. It also highlights our core strength: bringing together people with lived expertise, community partners, and decision-makers to drive meaningful change.

Also – it's just easier to say out loud and makes us less likely to be confused with other organizations! The name streamlines our story for advocates, making it easier to focus on the purpose of our work.

A Special 3:1 Match Opportunity!

To celebrate this, and to launch us into our next chapter, the Campion Foundation has issued a challenge. Through the end of our spring fund drive, they will match every contribution made by our community THREE TO ONE, up to $100,000!

Will you help us meet that challenge by making a tax-deductible gift to the Washington Housing Alliance Education Network today?

Using All the Tools Available

This rebrand also includes some restructuring. Washington Housing Alliance is a family of organizations that give us access to every tool we have to address the affordable housing and homelessness crisis -- better aligning our structure with the work this moment demands.

The Washington Housing Alliance will be our advocacy, political, and power building home, making us a stronger, more visible voice for housing justice and bold policy change. We'll develop policy priorities, organize advocates in support of those priorities, and hold candidates accountable through the electoral process.

The Washington Housing Alliance Education Network will focus on education, training, and strengthening the field. It will also be the home for our organizational membership, who continue to be critical partners in the work to ensure a safe, affordable home for everyone in Washington. Together, our new structure will allow us to build the movement and the political power needed to solve the housing crisis.

Powered by Community

We're grateful to the many people who gave their time and advice throughout the last year, sharing what they value most about our work. Whether you are in a small town or big city, east or west of the Cascades, are coming from an organizational perspective or bringing your personal passion to our collective effort, if you share our goals and values, there is a place for you at the Washington Housing Alliance! Thank you for being part of this movement and the evolution of our organization.

I hope you'll visit our new website: wahousingalliance.org. Have a look around and let us know what you think. (Including anything that needs fixing. It takes a village and we'll be putting the finishing touches on this for a little while!)
